Troy Swaner, Managing Director

Troy Swaner is a Managing Director with BMO Family Office, an integrated wealth management provider that serves individuals, families and family offices across their tax, estate, investment, philanthropic, risk and capital needs.

Troy built his career helping clients navigate the complex issues of significant wealth. He is responsible for promoting new client engagement across the enterprise, and works closely with firm leadership to develop and execute upon strategies for growing the business and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Prior to joining BMO, Troy was a Managing Director at UBS, where he led a team advising business owners, private investors and ultra-affluent families on complex wealth management strategies.  Previously, Troy was a Managing Director at U.S. Trust (Bank of America), where a particular are of focus for him and his team was sponsor finance.  During this time, Troy expanded his client base to include some of the largest private equity firms in the central U.S.. He worked to meet these firms’ needs through capital call lending facilities, capital markets execution, treasury management, and banking services.  Troy had previously held senior advisory roles at Citi Private Bank and Wells Fargo Private Bank.

Troy earned his bachelor of business administration at Baylor University, where he was also a member of the Baylor Bears football team.  He earned his M.B.A. from the University of Dallas.

Outside of the office, Troy is an avid golfer and member of the Northwood Club.  He also enjoys coaching youth football and baseball in the Park Cities.
