Marc McKay

National Head of Trust & Estate

BMO Wealth Management U.S.

Marc McKay serves as National Head of BMO’s Trust, Estate & Fiduciary Administration team.  In this role, he is responsible for leadership and performance of all of BMO’s fiduciary administration teams in the United States.  He reports to the President of BMO’s U.S. Wealth Management division and serves as the Chief Fiduciary Officer appointed by the Trust Committee of BMO Bank’s Board of Directors.   

 

Marc has held a variety of leadership roles since joining BMO in 2011.  Most recently, he was the Chief Legal Officer for BMO’s US Wealth Management division, where his team advised on the legal and regulatory issues arising out of BMO’s fiduciary administration and investment management services.

 

Prior to joining BMO’s legal department in 2011, Marc spent a dozen years at Stinson LLP, where his law practice concentrated on resolving disputes arising under the Uniform Trust Code.  He has over 25 years of experience in trust and estate administration, investment management services, and other business and fiduciary matters.

 

Marc graduated cum laude from Harvard University and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa.  After law school, he clerked for the Honorable John L. Coffey on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

 

Marc lives in Wheaton, Illinois, and enjoys spending time with his family.  He is on Executive Committee of the Three Fires Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  He also serves on the Harvard University Schools Committee
