BMO Wealth Management - U.S.
Steve Kwei joined BMO Wealth Management as the U.S. Head of Banking in August 2025.
Steve has over 20-years of banking and lending experience through his time at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and most recently, Citi Private Wealth where he was the Global Head of Structured Lending. Steve has expertise in transforming wealth lending products, balance sheet management and building a best-in-class banking platforms for clients through process improvement, digitization and employing AI/ML solutions. His experience includes developing lending solutions across a wide range of asset classes – from art and aircraft lending to commercial real estate and financing against illiquid assets.
Steve is married with two children, 18 and 15, and resides in Los Angeles. He has a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers Business School and a M.S. in Business (Data) Analytics from Rutgers Business School with Summa Cum Laude Honors.
