Sandra Henderson

Sandra Henderson is the Chief Operating Officer for the U.S. Wealth Management business. She leads the National Office Teams and oversees the planning, development and implementation of product and service strategies for BMO Financial Group’s U.S. Wealth businesses. Her responsibilities include driving the evolution of our Private Bank to serve the unique and continually evolving needs of affluent individuals and families, through a highly personalized, relationship-focused approach.

Sandra joined BMO Financial Group in 2004, and before taking the role of COO, held the position of Senior Vice President, Eastern Ontario Division for Canadian Personal and Commercial Banking, at BMO Bank of Montreal. Sandra also held several executive roles in Wealth Management across Canada and Asia. Prior to joining BMO, she was the Regional Vice President, Prairies Division, at RBC. 

Sandra is an IWF Canada Board (International Women’s Forum), the Co-Chair for BMO for Women, US, Board member of the Leadership Council for Inclusion and Diversity and W.I.S.E. Leadership Advisory Board (Women in a Supported Environment) - a BMO employee resource group dedicated to supporting women in leadership development roles. Sandra has been actively involved in several not for profit corporations and charities throughout her career, including Skate Canada, The Ottawa Hospital Foundation, Calgary Children’s Initiative and United Way.

Sandra received her MBA from Queen’s University and her Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario. She recently completed the Get on Board, Director Education Program from the Canadian Board Diversity Council.
