James M. Minich

Jim joined the organization in 2011 and has over 25 years of experience serving large corporate, middle market, and ultra-affluent clientele. Jim is responsible for overseeing the national Capital Advisory Services practice. He is uniquely positioned to advise ultra-affluent families and individuals on the management and optimization of their financial liabilities. This advice often centers around debt sourcing for both individual and business needs, capital asset financing and the monetization of specialized asset classes. He also currently serves as a member of the BMO Family Office Management Committee.

Jim earned a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He also attended DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, Chicago, Illinois, where he graduated with distinction with an MBA in Finance.

Jim is a longtime member of Union League Club of Chicago and serves on the Board of Directors of North Lawndale College Prep, a two campus Chicago public charter high school.

He lives with his wife and three children in Oak Park, Illinois, and is actively involved in youth baseball and the Boy Scouts of America.
