Lynne Dorsey

Lynne Dorsey is a Director of Investment Advisory Services with BMO Family Office, an integrated wealth management provider that serves ultra-affluent individuals, families and family offices across their tax, estate, investment, philanthropic, risk and family capital needs.

She is a seasoned investment professional who has served as a trusted advisor to clients for over 30 years.  Lynne offers holistic advice and tailored solutions for her clients and assists them in sustaining and responsibly growing their wealth. She has over 10 years of experience in managing socially responsible and impact portfolios.

Lynne’s practice focuses on corporate executives, women and business owners.  Her team includes trust and fiduciary specialists, investment strategists and banking experts.  She works closely with clients’ tax and legal advisors on wide ranging matters from executive’s concentrated stock positions, sale of privately held businesses, philanthropy, family governance and estate planning. Prior to joining BMO, she was a Senior Director – Senior Wealth Manager at BNY Mellon.  Her professional experience also includes serving as an economic analyst and oilseeds trader at Cargill’s Inc. headquarters in Minneapolis and the Bay Area.

Lynne holds the professional investment designation of Chartered Financial Analyst® from the CFA Institute.  She is a member of the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts and the CFA Institute.  Lynne graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nebraska with a BS degree in agricultural economics. 

Lynne has served on community and philanthropic boards including Real Medicine Foundation, Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), and Cathedral High School. She enjoys spending time with her son, Jack, and on her family's 4th generation ranching/family operation.  Lynne enjoys travel and lived in New Zealand early in her career.  She is passionate about adding to her travel experiences.  She enjoys yoga, hiking and cycling.
