Senior Director, Digital Strategy

As Senior Director – Digital Strategy for US Wealth Management, Jonathan is accountable for building the digital client experience for the mass affluent, high net worth and ultra high net worth segments. He ensures success of agile product teams by communicating the vision of the product, defining goals & KPIs. Jonathan maximizes customer value by creating, prioritizing, and refining user stories in the product backlog and ensures the customer voice is heard through research, ongoing testing, story mapping.
He started his career at JP Morgan in their Branch Manager Development Program, eventually heading Customer Experience Execution for JPM’s West Region before joining BMO in 2005. At BMO, Jonathan has led teams in Finance, Accounting, Operations, Strategy & Planning serving as Controller, Project Manager, Regional Director for Operations, and Senior Finance Manager before being promoted to his current position in Digital Channels. Jonathan’s accomplishments in Digital include: eSignature rollout, implementation of a new digital sales enablement platform, and most recently, leading the creation of the BMO Smart Portfolio (digital advice) product.
Jonathan graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology & Political Science with minors in German and European Area Studies. He is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado with a concentration in general management, lending, financial management and leadership Jonathan also completed BMO’s Senior Leadership Development Program.
Jonathan serves on BMO’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, which actively promotes BMO’s commitment to Inclusion & Diversity by leveraging existing partnerships and creating new opportunities to engage in communities. Jonathan serves on the YMCA of Chicago Board of Directors for Camp MacLean, and he’s a Forty Under 40 award winner by the Phoenix Business Journal.
